The 4th Annual Skyline Mountain Marathon

No crowds, no rock bands, no support vans, no pre-race expo, no whiners, this is the Skyline Mountain Marathon. You will experience mind-blowing views, earn bragging rights, run on mountains peaks and experience all the highs and lows of a marathon in the skies. Part of the proceeds will benefit Ogden Nordic. All told, it’s nearly a mile each of vertical ascent and descent. Don’t believe us? Check out the MAP.

If you run fast enough, you could also earn some sweet swag and prizes from our generous Sponsors, maybe even something you can sell to pay your medical bills. But everyone that runs is a winner, of course, and everyone leaves with something for their trouble, including wrecked quads, trashed knees, some grub at the end, and a T-shirt. Sign up for the Skyline Mountain Marathon, click the Register tab and voluntarily commit yourself. Still not convinced? You’re probably scared. We don’t blame you.

What:

26.2 miles, 4500ft of climbing, 1 punishing, unforgiving and ridiculously beautiful marathon trail race.

Why:

You will experience mind-blowing views, earn bragging rights, run with no crowds on top of the mountains and experience all the highs and lows of a marathon in the skies. Another good reason is that part of the proceeds benefit Ogden Nordic.

Where:

The Marathon starts at the North Fork Park in Liberty Ut. The Half starts at the top of the North Ogden Divide. The finish line is in Eden Park.

When:

Saturday August 17, 2013. The Marathon starts at 6 a.m. and the Half starts at 7:30 a.m.

Who:

You of course, that is if you can handle all the fun punishment that is the Skyline. And you will join the field of runners some of whom are aiming to take on the course record which was set in 2012 by Steve Shepherd with a time of 3:35:41.
So what are you waiting for? Take a look at the maps, last years results and then register here. See you in August!
